The WELl - Daily Devotion 11/6

Proverbs 17:17 (NIV) – “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

In Proverbs, we find a profound truth about friendship. A friend loves at all times, and this is a reflection of God’s love for us. We can be thankful for the friends in our lives who stand by us through thick and thin. Just as a brother is born for adversity, true friends are there to support us in our times of need.

Friendship is a precious gift from God. As Christians, we should not only cherish our friends but also express our gratitude for them. When we have friends who share our faith and values, our bonds become even stronger. These friendships are a reflection of our relationship with God, who is the ultimate friend, guide, and protector.

Gratitude is a key aspect of our faith. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are reminded to “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” This includes giving thanks for the gift of friendship. Let’s take a moment to reflect on our friends and the positive impact they’ve had on our lives. Consider reaching out to someone and expressing your gratitude.

Take some time today to express your gratitude to your friends and to God for the gift of friendship.
