The WELl - Daily Devotion 11/22

Grace and Gratitude

I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help. He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.”Psalm 40:1-3

Gratitude is rooted in grace.  When we understand that grace happens when we receive that things that we do not deserve, and the only response can or should be one of gratitude and praise!  The Psalmist sang a song of thanksgiving to the Lord that…

  1. Remembered where he had come from. (the pit!)
  2. Realized his newfound security. (the solid rock!)
  3. Rejoiced with a song of praise! (a new song to sing!)

Take some time to praise the Lord today specifically for where He has brought you from.

Thank God for what He is doing in your life currently.

Glorify the Lord by sharing with someone else how much God has blessed you.
