Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3 :5-6.

These verses really help me to keep God’s perspective in life. Too many times I seem to lean on my own understanding in a situation instead of acknowledging and focusing on Jesus and allowing Him to guide me through.  It is easy to think we have to rely on ourselves and our own plans when in reality when we do we fall short.

But when I trust in the Lord and surrender what I think or plan to Him then He shows me the way to go. The best thing is that relying on Jesus is NEVER the wrong thing and He has NEVER let me down. He will do the same for you when you trust Him.
