The WELl - Daily Devotion 11/12

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

For all the introverts out there… you are not alone

It’s easy for some of us to stay to ourselves and find safety and contentment at home by being alone.  But studying Ecclesiastes 4:9-14 helped me understand the benefit of companionship and friendship.  I learned that opening myself to other women would be a blessing and encouragement to them AND to me.  God Himself realized that it was not good for us to be alone. (Gen 2:18)  So he made provisions from the beginning  for our need of companionship and fellowship with others. The same is still true today.

This Sunday be friendly and start to develop godly relationships.  It is God’s plan! (Prov. 18:24)

  • Where do you feel God leading you to get involved or connected?
  • If you aren’t sure ask someone at church for options and be courageous to step out in faith!
